Monday Night Football Schedule

Monday Night Football on ESPN network will showcase nine NFC Conference match-ups, seven AFC Conference match-ups and only one inter-conference game this NFL football season. The Chicago Bears are the only team with 3 Monday Night Football games on the NFL TV schedule.

MNF Schedule Weeks 1-4

The Cincinnati Bengals will face AFC North divisional rival Baltimore Ravens to open the Monday Night Football schedule and their NFL season in week 1.

The San Diego Chargers visit their AFC West rival Oakland Raiders to kick off their NFL schedule in the 2nd TV game of the evening.

Week 2 will feature Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos as they face the Atlanta Falcons in the inter-conference match-up game.  Peyton Manning is coming off neck surgery and was traded to Denver from the Indianapolis Colts during the off-season. QB Matt Ryan leads this team on offense and will be a tough test for the Broncos facing the Falcons at home.

The Green Bay Packers will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3 of the Monday Night Football Schedule. Back-up Packer QB Matt Flynn was tradede to the Seahawks, but will be a back-up to rookie Russell Wilson. The Seattle Superdome is tough place for opposing teams, but can it rattle a massive Packers offensive attack from Aaron Rodgers and his receivers?

Week 4 will showcase the Chicago Bears at the Dallas Cowboys in the Jerry Jones Cowboy Stadium.Which of these two teams will challenge for their division in the 2012 NFL football season? This game will be a test for both as the Chicago Bears have added more fire power to their offense and their defense is healthy. The Cowboys hope they have upgraded their defense enough to make a run in the NFC conference.

MNF Schedule Weeks 5-8

The Houston Texans will visit the New York Jets for the Week 5 Monday Night football game. The Texans are an early favorite for many expert writers to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. The NY Jets acquired Tim Tebow in the off-season and hope to use him to help QB Mark Sanchez with the Jets struggling offense.

Week 6 will feature another AFC West match-up with the Denver Broncos visiting the San Diego Chargers in a game that may reveal the lead contender for the division championship.

The Chicago Bears host the Detroit Lions in Week 7 of Monday Night Football in a game that may have playoff implications. The Lions and Bears could both challenge the Green Bay Packers for the NFC North division this year.
The San Francisco 49'ers will host NFC West division opponent Arizona Cardinals in Week 8 on Monday Night Football. The Niners and Cardinals both play good defense, but the Niners have upgraded their offense give the Cardinal defense a tough task.

MNF Schedule Weeks 9-12

The Philadelphia Eagles will travel to the New Orleans Saints  in Week 9 to face a Saints team that may or may not have recovered from team players suspensions to begin the 2012 NFL football season. Drew Brees and receivers are always a threat and the Eagles will need to slow down the Sainst to win and keep pace in the NFC playoff hunt.

Week 10 features the Kansas City Chiefs at the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game that could be huge for the Steelers in keeping pace in the AFC North division with Baltimore and Cincinnati.

Week 11 will have the Chicago Bears in their 3rd Monday Night Football game of the year as they face the NFC Conference runner-up team, the San Francisco 49'ers. This should be a knock-down-drag-out defensive battle between two teams that rely on their defense to set the game pace. This game will have an impact on the NFC playoff seedings.

Week 12 the Carolina Panthers with QB Cam Newton will face the Philadelphia Eagles and Michael Vick in a game that should have excitement from both quarterbacks. The Eagles usually are a strong 2nd half of the season team and the Panthers are working to improve over last season's  record.

MNF Schedule Weeks 13-16

Week 13 of the Monday Night Football Schedule will have the defending Super Bowl Champions New York Giants visiting the Washington Redskins to open the December schedule.

Eli Mannig and rookie RGIII face off in a game that could have the Giants playing for the NFC East title and/or the NFC #1 playoff seed.

Week 14 features what should be the top 2 teams in the AFC with the Houston Texans playing the New England Patriots in a game that could be replayed later in the AFC playoff Championship game.

The NY Jets and the Tennessee Titans play in Week 15 of the Monday Night Football telecast in a game that these two teams are hoping will be for a playoff berth.

The ESPN Monday Night Football Schedule will close the NFL football season on a Saturday Night game due to the Christmas holiday. Week 16 will see the Atlanta Falcons at the Detroit Lions in a game with huge playoff implications.
